Course Title: |
UMTS Long Term Evolution / System Architecture Evolution |
Duration: |
1 Day |
Cost: |
£395 |
Synopsis: |
This course provides a technical overview of the Evolution of both UTRAN and CN technologies
and architectures as currently specified / recommended by 3GPP. In addition to the
presentation of key aims and objectives of LTE/SAE, individual features, technologies and
envisaged procedures are discussed. From a UTRAN LTE perspective, the course highlights
particular modulation, coding, multiple access and radio performance enhancements,
including latency reduction and throughput enhancement features. With regard to CN SAE,
the introduction of new interfaces and the separation of control / data plane transport
mechanisms and architectures are presented, along with migration to AIPN and support for
mobility across multiple access networks.
