This course provides a detailed
technical description of the protocols and procedures
utilised within the 3GPP IMS network architecture for
release 5 and 6, including several related service
provision, transport and security protocols. Profile
access, charging, and Service Based Local Policy control
are presented and Interworking between IMS and non-IMS
service provision network entities discussed.
Detailed IMS service access procedures and
call / signalling sequences are used to hilite various
features of the system.
