Synopsis: |
This course provides a technical overview of the Data
Connectivity, Networking, and Service provision methods
used in the 3GPP specified systems: GPRS, UMTS, HSDPA and
HSUPA. Network architecture,
service-provision mechanisms, protocols, and
inter-system procedures are all presented, aided by the
use of various protocol analysis tools
. The logical evolution and
inter-dependancies of these systems are discussed, and
their suitability to support a
variety of services, including VoIP are
examined.
